Jennifer DiVeterano Gayle, Esq. Becomes Chair of the Probate and Trust Law Section of the Philadelphia Bar Association

Mannion Prior, LLP is proud to announce that Firm Partner Jennifer DiVeterano Gayle is now serving as the Chair of the Philadelphia Bar Association’s Probate and Trust Law Section. Ms. Gayle has been an officer of the Probate and Trust Law Section since 2022, and previously served two terms on its Executive Committee before undertaking her current position. 

The Probate and Trust Law Section serves as a forum for Philadelphia Bar Association members to discuss trust and estate law issues; fosters relationships between counsel, the Judges of the Orphans’ Court Division and the Register of Wills; and helps to formulate the Association’s position on issues important to the members of the Section, including statewide legislation. The Section also provides educational opportunities and other resources for probate and trust law practitioners, mentorship of young lawyers, and pro bono legal services to the citizens of Philadelphia.

At Mannion Prior, Ms. Gayle focuses her practice on all aspects of fiduciary litigation including trust and estate disputes, will and trust contests, action involving surcharge or removal of fiduciaries such as trustees or executors, document interpretation matters, guardianships and powers of attorney litigation. She also counsels clients who serve as fiduciaries on best practices and avoiding or best preparing for litigation. In addition, Ms. Gayle is a Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC) and serves as a frequent author and panelist on various trust and estate topics

In addition to her Firm and Bar Association responsibilities, Ms. Gayle serves on the Board of the Philadelphia Area Consortium of Special Collections Libraries (PACSCL), is a member of the Council of the Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Section of the Pennsylvania Bar Association, and volunteers as a child advocate for the Montgomery Child Advocacy Project (MCAP).  She also coaches youth ice and ball hockey.

In 2015, The Legal Intelligencer named Ms. Gayle a “Lawyer on the Fast Track,” and she has been recognized by Super Lawyers® and Best Lawyers in America® each year since 2018. In addition, in 2011, Ms. Gayle received the Citizen’s Crime Commission Award of Merit II for her pro bono representation of the Montgomery County District Attorney to obtain a guardianship of an adult individual who was the victim of abuse and neglect.

Ms. Gayle earned a J.D., cum laude, from Villanova University School of Law and a B.A. from Ursinus College, with distinguished honors. She is married with two children and resides in Chester County.
