John F. Higgins Named Partner of Mannion Prior

Mannion Prior, LLP is pleased to announce that the Firm has named John F. Higgins as a Partner in the firm.

Since joining Mannion Prior in 2018, Higgins has represented clients in complex fiduciary litigation matters related to trusts, estates, non-profit corporations, agents under powers of attorney, and guardianships. In addition to his contributions to the Firm, John has served the Orphans’ Court bench and bar through lecturing and publishing on critical and developing areas of fiduciary law and practice.

According to Managing Partner, James F. Mannion “Through hard work and dedication to his craft and the profession, John has become a critical part of our practice and firm. He continues to deepen his already substantial knowledge of fiduciary law while honing his trial practice skills.”

Higgins has been named a Pennsylvania Super Lawyers Rising Star in Estate & Trust Litigation each year since 2020. In 2024, Higgins was honored as a as a Lawyer on the Fast Track by ALM at its Pennsylvania Legal Awards.

Higgins currently serves as a Trustee of the Montgomery County Bar Foundation, and as Chair of the Legislative Committee of the Philadelphia Bar Association’s Probate & Trust Law Section. Higgins graduated from the Montgomery County Bar Association’s Leadership Academy in 2023 and is participating in the 2024-2025 Mid-Atlantic Fellows Institute (MAFI) of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC).

 Higgins is a graduate of Colgate University, the Penn State Dickinson School of Law (JD), and King’s College London (LL.M).   

 Higgins is licensed to practice in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
